MATERIAL & CRAFT

Lotus silk is a natural fabric. Fibers are manually extracted from lotus stems in Myanmar and spun within hours to preserve their natural moisture, strength and softness. The yarn is then hand woven and stitched in Himachal Pradesh.

The result is a fabric that looks like linen and feels like silk.

AFTER LIFE

When your whakato item has lived its life, simply cut it into strips and compost it safely. No synthetic waste, no trace left behind.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

> Hand Wash: Submerge in cold water with a few drops of a gentle detergent.
> Air Dry in shade: Avoid direct sunlight to protect the fabric and colors.
> No Bleach or Tumble Drying: These can weaken the delicate fibers.
> Gentle Ironing: Use low heat, with a thin cloth between the silk and iron.
