Ordinations, Pentecost Sunday, Palm Sunday and the feasts of the martyrs. Red is the colour of ordination, which is why it is the one most often bought as a gift.

<b>THE STOLE</b>
• 112 inches long (284 cm) — 56 inches down each side, reaching mid-calf
• 4 inches wide, straight cut, squared ends
• Mid-weight woven polyester, soft low sheen, 200–260 gsm
• Fully lined end to end, with interfacing across the shoulders so it hangs flat and does not curl
• Gold bullion fringe at both ends, 1.3 inches, twisted cord on a sewn header
• One gold Latin cross embroidered directly into each end — 4 in tall, 2.6 in wide, 3.4 in above the hem
• Edges topstitched 3 mm in, seams fully enclosed, no raw edges
• Care label with fibre content and origin sewn into the lining

<b>WHY THIS ONE AND NOT A CHEAPER ONE</b>
Most stoles sold online are 90 inches. On a tall minister that stops around the belt, and the
reviews say so. Ours is 112 inches and reaches mid-calf.

The crosses are embroidered straight into the cloth in dense satin stitch. They are not printed,
not heat-pressed, and not glued-on patches — the three things that peel off the cheap ones.

It is fully lined and interfaced at the shoulders. That is what makes it lie flat down the front
instead of curling at the edges, and it is the difference you see in a photograph.

Hand wash cold, do not bleach, cool iron, do not tumble dry. Keep the fringe straight when folding.
